All Star Game

SO i watched the all star game and the young gun game and skills comp. It was pretty good, the rail cam was a good view of the game! I have nothing against the jerseys meanly because i didn't really notice that much lol.
Youngster game- it was good, really wide open, 4 on 4. The game as a otal wasn't all that good but it showed te better scores and it gave the defence a better chance to show their scoring ability. Parise did really good with 2 goals and 4 assists and was the MVP of te game. Ryan Getzlaf also showed us how to scrore.
Skills Comp.- This was fun to watch! lol! Luongo did awsume and was the best goal in it. Brodeur did pretty good with a few mistakes, no biggie. Rafalski was also in the Eastern Team.

Wild End Win Streak

So last night the Minnesota Wild ended the Canucks 7 game win streak with a 5-2 Vancouver loss at GM place. Pyatt scored the canucks first goal to make is 3-1 and Mitchell got his first of the season with a tip in. but that as far as we got. Fernandez did amazing in net. Luongo had a so-so kinda game a few nice stops. One on a 2 on 1, denied johnsson....or Gaborik a goal, can't remember, one passed and one shot which was which...not sure. Canucks won 8 out of the last 9 games at home. The reffing on last nights game was a little week, Morrison got undoubtly tripped up at the side of the net and there was no call but no excuses. Both of the Canucks goals coming in the Second Period within 5 Minutes. Kesler and Bulis got the assists on Pyatts goal. Bulis with a nice move to create space to pass, and Naslund and Bieksa had the assists on Mitchells goal. Edler was back in the lineup but only saw about 13 minutes of ice time, still not to bad. The Wild took 38 shots ad Luongo, celebrating 5 times, while the Canuks only had 26 shots on Mr. Fernandez who made 24 stops.
Up next the Canucks face Toronto on Saturday in Toronto on Hockey Day In Canada

Good News

So the Canucks are in 10th place in the league now and 1st in there divison, thanks to there recent 7 game winning streak. Ohlund is 6th on the canucks for points and in his last 13 games has 10 points with 6 goals and 4 assists. Naslund finally snapped a 17 game goal-less streak with a early third period goal against the Flordia Panthers. The Twins have a combine total of 82 points so far and Henrik is 5th in the NHL for assists with 37. Lindens been picking it up lately with a string of recent goals, this is resulting in him getting more icetime to show what he can do. Morrison has also been picking it up lately....finally. But the biggest story for the canucks right now is Roberto Luongo who was named the weeks first star with a 2.44 GAA and in the last 4 games had 133 shots and stopped 125 of them leading the canucks to some pretty big wins. He's showing us that losing Bert, Auld and Allen, no matter how hard it was, is worth it. Luongo was also won 10 of his last 12 games and is 2nd in the league for wins with 24, trailing only, guess who.....Marty Brodeur.
The Devils are in 7th place right now. Marty brodeur got his 7th shutout of the year last game against Montreal. Brodeur only needs 5 more shutouts to beat his pervious shutout record of 11 made by him in 2003-2004. The last year the devils won the cup! Elias leads the Devils in points with 40 but its Gionta who has the most goals with 19. Rookie Travis Zajac in 8th on the team for points with only 22. Brian Rafalski, clearly deserving of it is gettin the most time on the ice for the Devils.
