Two Wins

So both the Devils and the Canucks collected two points last night. The Canucks beat the Oilers 5-2 and the Devils took the Rangers in SO 3-2.
In Edmonton, the Canucks took 24 shots getting 4 of them passed Roloson and one into an empty net. This was the Sedins game and they took it in full gear. Daniel collecting a point on every Vancouver goal with his second carreer hat trick and two assists. Henrik recorded four assists on the night, showing off his infamous slap pass that is execued so nicely. Naslund got his 17th of the season, on the powerplay early in the second. Pyatt also socred for his 16th. Luongo stopping 28 out of 30 shots.
New Jersey at home defeated the Rangers in SO, Gionta with the winning goal. Sean Avery with his first game as a ranger got an assist. The Devils getting away only 21 shots but Lundqvist came out the weaker link. New York having 30 shots on Brodeur who only allowed two to get by him. Paul Martin with the first goal for the Devils then Rachunek then scored for NYR. Parise with his 21 on the season put one home for the go ahead goal but Jagr tied it up early in the third. Neither teams able to put it away in the remainder of regualtion or extra time so the game was decieded in a shotout.


Vancouver is now 7th in there conference and 10th in the league with 64 points
NJ is second in ther conference, behind only Buffalo, and 5th in the league with 72 points
